Ikea hacks...

Been to ikea today and came back with this cute mini drawers set. I'm thinking of storing the majority of my filofax/stationery bits in it.

I could have left it like that but I got a bit creative and now it matches my office!

I love it (actually love my office and how coordinated it is) but this little thing solves lots of storage probs I had without taking up too much space! So let me see if I can share how I use it. (If you click the picture it should enlarge)

To quote my hubby I can now store all my 'funny things'! 

A creative whim

This morning as I was cleaning the kitchen and sorting through the recycling a lightbulb went on above my head and an idea was born. I've been looking at desktidy's but haven't seen one that I like. I just played with the boxes till I got them in an order that I liked, stuck some pretty paper on them and voilà I have a desktidy that's unique and does exactly what I want!

Here are all the boxes covered in pretty paper ... and then below is the complete set up!

I love it, everything is handy and just where I want it! Plus I quite enjoyed being creative for an hour :)
